From Devon To Norfolk Hunt a historical weekend

This weekend is home to some of the oldest horse shows in the Country. The very famous Devon Horse Show started in 1896 in Devon, PA and The Norfolk Hunt Horse show in Medfield, MA celebrated its 104th year. Both of these shows have earned the designation of a USEF Heritage Competition which is reserved for those competitions that have been in existence for a quarter century or more, promoted and grown equestrian sport, and made a contribution to the community outside the gates of the horse show by achieving, maintaining and promoting the equestrian ideals of sportsmanship and competition. We were lucky enough to have riders wearing our beautiful bows and representing us in both of these prestigious shows.

We want to send out a big congratulations to Small Pony Hunter champion Zayna Rizvi and her pony Rollingwoods Knee Deep. She rode beautifully and took home the coveted small pony championship. Zayna also rode her other pony Rolling Stone in the small ponies and received great ribbons. Zayna was wearing a set of Lavender custom printed show bows made just for Devon with both of her ponies names on them. But Devon wasn’t all serious for this little rider, she also participated in the Pony Hunt teams and dressed up as a minon.

Also riding in the small ponies at Devon was our Belle, Maggie Junkin and her pony Foxlair Fantasia. They had great rides and got ribbons over fences and in the pony hunt teams. Maggie wore custom bows in Devon blue and looked fantastic. She also had a set of custom bows to match her shadbelly.  She was dressed up as a snowman from the Movie Frozen with her hunt team. They placed 2nd! Foxlair Fantasia “Fancy” also competed in the leadline class with a little friend and placed 2nd out of a very large crowd. Fun was had by all in this team.

Caroline Ellis and her pony Pride Rock did an amazing job showing in the medium pony hunters at Devon placing very respectably in her over fence classes. Caroline was wearing a set of custom shorty bows that she and her mother designed themselves. She looked like a pro with perfect braids and was spotted on the Chronicle of the Horse’s website with her chic look.

From Leadline to the small pony hunters our bows were spotted all over Devon!

At The Norfolk Hunt show there were bows everywhere. It was a nice day on the grass hunting fields and everyone had a great day. The pet pony winner Nina Wordell and her pony Summer sported some Belle Bows with our signature pony on them. Looking fabulous! We were there to catch the action.
What a great weekend of shows and bows! If you want to be a part of our winning team please contact us. We are looking for more pony riders to join us.
